BCUR 2016 will be held at Manchester Metropolitan University

22nd and 23rd March 2016


In 2016 the British Conference of Undergraduate Research will be held in Manchester. One of Britain’s largest cities, Manchester is a thriving hub of industry and innovation. Manchester Metropolitan University has an exciting programme planned for the conference.

The Abstract submission date deadline is 11th December 2015.

Please submit abstracts to BCUR16@mmu.ac.uk

General Guidelines

  1. Please include a title and name(s) and email(s) of the author(s)
  2. Abstracts should be approximately 250 words
  3. Please state if you have a preference for presenting your work via an oral presentation or a poster
  4. As BCUR is a multi-disciplinary conference, you should aim to write your abstract in a way which is accessible for a broader audience where possible
  5. You will be informed about acceptance of your abstract in 2 – 4 weeks
  6. Your abstract will only be included in the program after you have registered for the conference
  7. The deadline for abstract submission is December 11th 2015

The key features of a successful abstract are:

  1. A clear statement of your research question or field of investigation
  2. A clear statement of the methodology used in your research
  3. The background to your research project
  4. A summary of your conclusions (or preliminary conclusions)
